# Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms", "ToS") govern your use of the Discord bot named MirroBot ("the Bot", "the Service"). By adding the Bot to your Discord server or interacting with it, you fully agree to these Terms.

## 1. Description of Service

MirroBot is an automated tool that provides real-time machine translation of messages between designated channels on the Discord platform. To perform these translations, the Bot utilizes third-party Artificial Intelligence (AI) providers, including Large Language Models (LLMs) and OCR services.

## 2. Payments and Subscriptions (Discord Premium Apps)

Certain premium features of the Bot may require a fee processed through the Discord Premium Apps system.

  1. All payments, subscriptions, and billing processes are managed entirely by Discord Inc., in accordance with their own Terms of Service.

  2. The developers of MirroBot do not collect, process, or have access to any of your payment information (e.g., credit card numbers).

  3. Any issues related to refunds or subscription cancellations are governed by Discord's policies and must be resolved through Discord.

## 3. Liability Limitation

Given the experimental and probabilistic nature of artificial intelligence:

  1. No Guarantee of Accuracy: AI-generated translations are provided on an "AS IS" basis. The developers of the Bot make no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or contextual fidelity of the translations.

  2. Hallucinations and Errors: You acknowledge that LLMs are susceptible to "hallucinations," meaning they may generate text that is factually incorrect, misleading, or alters the original meaning of a message.

  3. Offensive Content: In rare instances, AI algorithms may generate output that is potentially inappropriate, vulgar, or offensive. The developers of the Bot disclaim any liability for the content generated by these external models.

  4. No Legal Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developers of the Bot shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, financial, or reputational damages arising out of the use (or inability to use) the Bot or the translations it provides.

## 4. Copyright and Intellectual Property

  1. User Rights: You retain full copyright to all original messages and images you transmit via Discord.

  2. Rights to Translations: We disclaim any proprietary copyright claims to the translation outputs generated by the Bot. Under current legal standards, texts generated entirely by machine/AI algorithms generally do not qualify for copyright protection.

  3. License to the Bot: By sending a message in a linked channel, you grant the Bot a non-exclusive license to read, process, modify (translate), and republish your content (along with your username and avatar) in other designated channels as required to provide the Service.
